A Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) is required for any citizen of a foreign country who wants to be admitted to Canada temporarily, either as a visitor, student or temporary worker. This is a document issued by a Canadian visa office to confirm that the person has met the requirements for temporary admissibility to Canada.

Visitor

Any citizen of a foreign country can come to visit Canada if authorized to do so through a temporary resident visa.   The purpose of the visit must be temporary and the intention to return to the country of residence must be proven.

Temporary Worker

One of the best ways for you to gain experience that can be useful in your subsequent efforts to become a permanent resident in Canada is to work here as a temporary worker. However, you will need to obtain one of the many types of work permits available.

Super Visa

A parent or grandparent may obtain an authorization valid for up to 10 years to visit a family member who is a permanent resident or citizen of Canada.  Such a visa allows the holder to stay in the country for up to two years without having to renew their status.
